“La morale dei singoli” - Pompeii excavations, 15th June – 1st December 2019
On 14th June at Pompeii excavations, the exhibition “La morale dei singoli” was inaugurated with the theme ideated by Alessandro Mendini for 2018-19 doutdo Biennial Exhibition, as mentor of this fourth edition together with Philip Rylands.
Doutdo is a biennial project undertaken in 2012 and promoted by the “Associazione Amici della Fondazione Hospice MT. Chiantore Seràgnoli” with the aim to support the Hospice Foundation in Bologna: a "give to give" act that opposes or, to say the least, departs from a selfish, utilitarian “give to get” approach. A gift of meaning, and values, is what doutdo has to offer, seeking and asking for nothing in return.
36 artworks were donated by 33 Italian and international artists to the doutdo 2018-2019 collection, that will be exhibited within the spaces of Portico Nord - Palestra Grande until 1st December 2019.
Speakers during the inauguration:
Massimo Osanna, General Director of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii
Vera Negri Zamagni, Chairman of Association “Friends of the MT. Chiantore Seràgnoli Hospice Foundation”
Andrea Viliani, Director of MADRE - Donnaregina Contemporary Art Museum
